COFFS HARBOUR EQUIPMENT AND SAFETY

At Skydive Coffs Harbour safety always comes first, fun comes in a close second. Our instructors are accredited by the Australian Parachute Federation and are highly experienced. Our equipment is maintained to higher than recommended standards and all our crew abide by our stringent safety rules and regulations.
Skydiving is an extreme sport, and like any extreme sport there is a certain amount of risk involved. All incidents, as small as they may seem are reported to the Australian Parachute Federation. Last years statistics stated that 1 in 10,000 skydives resulted in accident or injury. Compared with the statistics for registered cars in reported accidents in NSW being 9.8% the most dangerous part of your day is going to be driving to the Coffs Harbour drop zone! Check out some of the equipment you will see on your Coffs Harbour skydive experience....

  • THE ALTIMETER

Your Coffs Harbour Tandem Master uses the Altimeter for precise height location during free fall. It contains a durable mechanism made from temperature compensating metals for minimal friction and precision accuracy. You can check it on the way down too.... if you remember to look!!

  • THE HARNESS

Skydive harnesses are made from extreme adventure sport quality material and have the ability to withstand temperature changes, heavy loads and what we refer to as 'hard openings' when the ripcord is activated. You will be strapped in close to your Coffs Harbour instructor and they will make sure they look after you!

  • OUR AIRCRAFT

The aircraft we operate in Coffs Harbour are considered to be the most reliable and safest aircraft in the world for skydiving. Watch as your aircraft climbs up to 14,000ft in the air over spectacular coastal scenery!

  • PARACHUTES

The high standards set by our regulating governing body, The Australian Parachute Federation, require stringent quality control on all parachutes used in the sport. There is nothing that goes unchecked in Coffs Harbour. You are in good hands to glide to the ground once you are out of the plane!

  • OTHER EQUIPMENT..

The Australia Parachute Federation, or the ‘APF’, conduct annual and random audits of our skydiving operations in Coffs Harbour and all of our procedures and safety monitoring systems. We also conduct regular self audits to ensure the highest standard is maintained.

  • PILOTS…

Our pilots in Coffs Harbour are the best in the business and come from all over the world to work with us. Skydiving operations are a lot more fun than flying that 747 from Sydney to London that's for sure! Highly qualified and specialists in their field, they have just as much fun as you do!
